Meet The Author

Kevin Wray is the founder and CEO of Kraven Solutions, Inc., and Kraven IT, the fast-growing IT and security services firms that serve organizations in Roanoke and surrounding areas in Virginia. Kevin has over 30 years of experience as an IT solutions and security systems expert for small and medium businesses.

Even before Kevin graduated from Roanoke College with a degree in computer science, he was hired as a software engineer to develop insurance application systems for one of the largest insurance firms in North America. He then worked as a senior applications developer for a professional advisory firm that serves Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, developing payroll applications. As Kevin gained experience, he realized the importance of cybersecurity and physical security in the workplace, and he started his own business to help others find solutions to their IT and security needs. He expanded his expertise to provide IT services and deploy physical security, alarm, camera, and access control systems. This gave him a holistic view of security and how it should be integrated into companies, and Kraven Solutions was born in 2003.

Kevin quickly found that many clients didn't want to call one company to do IT, another to do alarms and cameras, and another to do access control. They wanted to be able to pick up the phone and call someone who could take care of all their security needs. He prides himself and Kraven Solutions on having a personal relationship with clients. "At the end of the day," says Kevin, "you take it very seriously with all your clients because they are your lifeline to your business and reputation."

Kraven Solutions remains vendor-neutral. "We take into account the technology, current structure, and growth challenges within your technology project because we believe every project is unique, just like the location where they are being installed," says Kevin. "We guide your project through the entire life cycle of selecting and implementing a new solution in your technology plan."

Kevin's mission is to take a different approach to technology and build a road map, from security to compliance, that best meets a business's needs. Kraven Solutions strives to provide services that make its clients better, helping them grow and meet the security challenges of today and the future.
